At Azar House, we know the thought of parenting can be scary sometimes. There are so many things to learn as you start this new chapter of your life, but it’s important to know that you are not alone and that you are capable of more than you know!
We encourage and support new parents through our free parenting classes. If you are a new parent, our parenting classes can equip you with the skills you need to be a loving, successful parent. You will learn about caring for a newborn, how to deal with your changing role as a parent and more.
Our center uses the Earn While You Learn curriculum, which contains more than 70 classes, ranging from toddlerhood to teenage years. It also includes a Practical Fatherhood Program that is geared specifically toward new dads. The classes range from about 20 minutes to one hour and are taught one-on-one. This ensures that each parent or couple is getting a tailored approach based on their unique situation.
By completing classes, parents can earn Mommy Money and Daddy Dollars which can be spent in our baby boutique. Our baby boutique contains new and gently used baby items like clothing, diapers, formula and more.
We encourage that both parents attend these classes, which is why clients will earn extra Mommy Money and Daddy Dollars when additional family members attend. Everyone is eligible and everyone is welcome.
Some of our other programs include the Life Skills Module, Positive Partnerships and Special Circumstances, which includes adoption information, addiction issues, child abuse and more.
